DUSL was developed to provide talented young women and men with the opportunity to play the sport of soccer at the highest available level of competition and, through soccer, to develop as individuals with a focus on character, teamwork, attitude and discipline.
The Club Mission is to provide high quality, professional soccer training for the lowest possible cost. We do this by serving the evolving needs of the soccer player from the earliest stages of technical development through preparation for collegiate soccer and beyond. We incorporate the concepts of technique, attitude, balance and speed to create exceptional players who approach training and matches with honesty, integrity, fairness, and the will to compete and win.
Players are our priority. Rather than focusing on wins and losses, Dublin United promotes development of skills and technical abilities. At the youngest ages, our curriculum prioritizes development techniques. As players progress though Dublin United program, their skills and understandings build on the lessons learned in previous years. Each year, players are challenged with new ideas and techniques.
In order for players to learn, Dublin United places a priority on providing an environment suited to learning. Dublin United uses methods endorsed by state, national and international soccer organizations to develop tools and age appropriate curriculum to get the most out of each child’s experience. Nurturing a love for the game of soccer is critical to the development of DUSL soccer players. The coaches, assistant coaches and other volunteers have been selected based on their knowledge of the game and their passion for the game of soccer. Our enthusiasm for the game is passed onto each player in our programs.
We take a 360 degree perspective, which means in addition to sharing our love for the game and teaching skills and techniques, DUSL is committed to the development of each child as a person. We seek to teach the life-lessons that youth sports provide: teamwork, sportsmanship, setting and meeting objectives, discipline and responsibility.
